Hampton Court Palace

On a roll now ..

Hampton Court Palace was only a short walk from my childhood home in East Molesey. I remember spending many happy Saturday or Sunday afternoons walking through the vast gardens with my family and friends.

It's been a while since I've posted so here's something special.

I grew up at 51 Summer Road, East Molesey, Surrey. My mum and her sister Muriel were born there, as was my youngest sister Jenny. My parents bought the house from my Nana after I was born. When I lived there, East Molesey was a village not far from Hampton Court Palace and the River Thames. We enjoyed many happy times in our punt on the River Mole which was accessed from our back garden.

Sadly what was a lovely front garden is now hidden by a gate and ugly garage but my cousins did take a photo of the front of the house when they visited in June. They knocked on the door but no one was home.
